Private Pilot Training
What you will need
Before your training starts:
*Government issued photo ID
*Proof of Citizenship (original birth certificate or current passport)
To Solo:
*Student Pilot Certificate and Medical Certificate
Optional Materials:
*Headsets (recommended for continuing students)
*Kneeboard (for organizing papers in the airplane)
*Flashlight (for night flight)
A current and valid Aviation Medical Certificate is required prior to the student’s first solo flight.
This is a routine physical exam, and must be completed by an
Aviation
Medical Examiner i
ssued as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class medical.
A 3rd class medical is required.
If you are planning on continuing training for any kind of commercial pilot career, a 1st class aviation medical is recommended.
*Jeppesen Private Pilot Kit (available for order through the flight school or online. See instructor for details. You also have the option of purchasing each item separately; for instance if you don’t want the flight bag that comes with it, etc.)
